What We Do

Sunday Service!

The best way to get connected is to visit us at one of our Sunday morning services! See more info about those on our homepage. If you would like to meet with one of the pastors to discuss any questions or how to get involved in other ways, please contact us at ssmjhu@gmail.com.

Small Groups

Small groups provide an opportunity to build our community for the purpose of growing in the knowledge and experience of God. Small groups are “smaller groups” where you can ask questions, seek God in the Word, and find support in facing the pressures of everyday life. We encourage participation and conversation in our small groups. Join in and see how meeting with others during the week can help you in your relationship with God at Hopkins!

If you have questions about small groups at Stepping Stone or want to get connected to a group, contact Pastor Phil Yang at phil.yang@gracelifechurch.com.

Discipleship Groups

Discipleship is a lifelong journey in following Christ and growing to be like Him day by day. Our discipleship series is designed to enable people to develop a deeper relationship with God. Our first class, Foundations, is an introduction to basic theology about Christianity and God. Our second class, 2:7, goes deeper into what it looks like to have a dynamic and functioning walk with Christ through the spiritual disciplines.

Our ultimate goal in discipleship is the formation of godly character. We believe that knowing and applying God’s Word, being taught by mature believers, and accountability are all necessary in building godly character. If you are interested in being a part of one of these classes, contact Pastor Phil Yang at phil.yang@gracelifechurch.com.

Friday Night Services

Friday Nights are a time for our church to spend time together in prayer, worship and fellowship, centered around a message or testimony, with extended time for prayer afterwards. We meet regularly every other week throughout the semester on the Homewood Campus in Shaffer 3 at 8 PM. Come if you’re tired from studying to recharge, fellowship with others, and grow in your faith.

Note: The schedule for Friday Nights vary. Please check our Instagram page.

Missions

Missions at Stepping Stone seeks to fulfill the Great Commission by training and sending forth workers both locally and overseas to bring people into a closer relationship with Jesus Christ. Each year we offer short-term missions opportunities to the local Baltimore community as well as foreign countries (e.g., Peru, Japan, Mozambique, and Mexico). These trips serve a two-fold purpose: to share Christ with those who do not know Him yet; and, to disciple those who are being sent. We believe that an intimate relationship with Jesus Christ allows us to discern needs and opportunities beyond our own limitations. We can begin to see and think more globally as we impact our world for Christ.

Please contact Pastor Phil Yang at phil.yang@gracelifechurch.com for more info.

Intercessory Prayer

Intercessory prayer is a vital part of our church. The purpose of this ministry is to maintain a trained and equipped prayer team that intercedes for the needs of the church. We pray for our various ministries, for our pastors, and for any specific requests from our congregation. Our prayers also extend towards our community, our city, our country and places around the world.

We meet every Monday, at 8 PM around the Homewood Campus. Please contact Pastor Phil Yang at phil.yang@gracelifechurch.com for more info.
